Applesauce Spice Cake
(6-9 Servings)
- 1 pkg. "JIFFY" Golden Yellow Cake Mix
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- dash nutmeg
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup water
Preheat oven to 350°, grease and flour 8" square pan.
Combine cake mix, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Blend well. Add egg, applesauce and 1/8 cup of water. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Add remaining water and beat an additional 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
