Recipes: Devil's Food Cake Mix
Cherry Chip Cake
(40-48 Servings)
Cake
- 2 pkgs. "JIFFY" Devil's Food Cake Mix
- 1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. almond extract
Glaze
- 1 pkg. "JIFFY" Fudge Frosting Mix
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. water
Preheat oven to 350°, grease and flour half sheet pan.
Combine all cake ingredients and beat on low speed until blended. Beat an additional 1 minute on medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 25-30 minutes, until top springs back when lightly pressed. Let cool slightly while preparing glaze. For glaze, melt margarine or butter and chocolate chips over medium heat. Add frosting mix and water, stirring until smooth. Frost top of warm cake.
