Recipes: Baking Mix

Cloverleaf Rolls

(12-14 servings)

  • 3 cups "JIFFY" Baking Mix
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 2/3 cup warm water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter, melted

Preheat oven to 400°, grease muffin pan.

Dissolve yeast in water; add baking mix and egg and blend well. Blend together remaining ingredients. Turn onto surface dusted with baking mix and knead about 30 times or until dough is light and springy. Shape rolls by cutting off small pieces of dough and roll into balls the size of a walnut. Dip in melted margarine or butter and place 3 balls in each section of greased muffin tin. Cover with cloth and let rise in warm place (85°) for 1 hour or until doubled in size. Bake 15-20 minutes; brush with margarine or butter while hot.
