Air Hammer Stripper / Utility (Marshall, Michigan)

The main function of this role will be to separate cartons from die cut sheets, checking them for quality and re-piles them onto pallets for warehousing. This position will also be trained in each department to fill in vacancies when needed. Some of those duties will be as material handling, press feeder, die cut feeder and folder/gluer feeder.

• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least one to six months in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply good judgment and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in generally standardized situations.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must be licensed to drive material handling equipment
  • Must be certified in Lock-Out

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, regularly push and/or pull and move up to 100 pounds. Using Hi-lo or walkie electric move up to 4000lbs.
• This position requires the use of a pneumatic hammer that is similar to a jack hammer. This tool vibrates at a high velocity.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Pay starts at $24.21 and will increase to $24.96 after 90 days.
