Director of Foodservice Sales

The Director of Foodservice Sales supports the steady growth of the Company’s Foodservice business to ensure the maximization of volume and profit for the Company. The Director of Foodservice Sales will work closely with others at Chelsea Milling Company (CMC) to identify, pursue, and grow emerging Foodservice distribution opportunities. Strong relationship-building skills are imperative for this position. Full effectiveness will require establishing and maintaining close relationships with all CMC departments utilizing a wide network of resources. This person should bring an understanding of the different Foodservice distribution segments, and the unique market dynamics and decision-making criteria of each of those segments.

This role actively participates in the evaluation and development of new Foodservice business opportunities, helps shape strategic direction through effective goal setting and planning, and leads the execution of initiatives required to convert opportunities into profitable sales. Success in this role requires fostering team accountability, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering impactful outcomes from concept through commercialization and market launch.

This position requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10-15 years of food service sales experience, preferably in dry baking mix.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support business development activities and client engagement.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaborative decision-making and communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
  • Proven sales aptitude with the ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive results.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term partnerships.
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and organizational objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
